Biography

Renata Irsa is a three-octave vocalist and songwriter (lyrics, music), graduate from Jazz Vocalist Studies at The Stanislaw Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdansk. Her debut album from the year 2017 (“Nie z tej bajki”, Soliton Publishing), with her own compositions sang in Polish language, was received enthusiastically by The Polish National Radio, music journalists and by the audience, who acknowledged her vocal talent, sense of humor and intelligent manner of describing reality.

Renata Irsa is an artist curious about the world and curious about herself in diversified roles. Every form of her previous artistic expression was noticed and valued. She was awarded in one of the most famous singing competition on Polish Television, “Szansa na Sukces” Program, by singing Czesław Niemen’s song “Domek bez adresu”. Her theatrical creations – the main female roles of Sandy Dumbrovsky in musicals “Grease” and Sally Bowles in “Cabaret” – got very enthusiastic press reviews. Renata Irsa was compared to Lisa Minnelli and Olivia Newton-John.

The album “Nie z tej bajki” is a record of observations and experiences from everyday life, both from the nearest “backyard”, and the distant places. Renata Irsa is a natural and true artist. Perhaps that’s why she makes such great contact with the audience during her concerts. Her previous performances ended with thunderous applause, in halls filled to the brim.
